Social Media Correspondent Idea

With a common trend amongst professional teams moving towards social media correspondents, I see my experience as a social media coordinator and on-air talent as a major asset. Not only do I have the knowledge and experience in content creation, management, maintenance, engagement, and advertising efforts, I am also equipped in conducting interviews and reports. In addition, I obtain first-hand experience working for a professional sports team in both the broadcasting and digital media departments.

TikTok and Instagram serve as optimal social spaces to relate to the younger fan base. As a young millennial, I feel that I can best relate to the audience both in content creation and on-air opportunities. My top priority in creating slick social/digital content is to make it on-trend and casual. By implementing quick hitters, fans can receive a behind-the-scenes look at team updates. In the “remote” age (COVID-19 restrictions), updates can be created from creatively integrating players’ activity on social media. I see this as another positive element to help the fanbase to stay connected.

Social Media Experience

Sports Illustrated LSU Instagram & TikTok

On February 21st, 2021, I created Instagram and TikTok accounts for LSU’s SI coverage. Both of the Instagram and TikTok accounts highlight Sports Illustrated’s football, basketball, and baseball coverage for LSU. Not only am I the reporter for LSU Country at si.com, but I am also the content creator and digital media manager for both accounts. My role consists of creating slick graphics via Photoshop and InDesign, staying on top of the latest TikTok and Instagram Reel trends, and creatively integrating our site articles and videos into engaging Instagram posts and IGTV videos.

Winter Sports Campaign

As the social media manager and marketer for REALSTACK, I created a winter sports campaign to feature the activities available around the Crested Butte Mountain Resort. My client, Wilder on the Taylor, has a high-income target audience. As a result, they do not want to focus on obtaining a large following but rather nurturing quality connections and leads. The winter sports campaign did move the needle in a very positive direction for their organic marketing efforts.

The campaign was posted on both Instagram and Facebook. Below are some of the top-performing posts as well as a video I edited for IGTV.
